KelemvorWhat happens when we die?Kelemvor by Ithildin-Starmoon
Such a frightening question, that. Some say we merely cease to exist. Being one of the faithless myself, I cannot decide which fate would be worse: to come at last to naught and be unremembered, or to wake suddenly in the Gray Waste and realize everything the clerics tried to peddle to me about the afterlife was true. Lord Kelemvor may or may not be heartless, but he is Judge of the Damned, and must remain objective to a fault. Hidden behind his silver mask, he is enigmatic, unreadable even to his Chosen. It is more than daunting to be confronted by someone I know very little about, when he holds the manuscript of my life in his hands and has memorized every word. I dread looking into the argent mirrors of his eyes and being condemned for eternity to the Wall of the Faithless.
... Perhaps I do know which fate would be worse, after all.
